Teaching Dakota

Zintkala Luta -means Red Bird offers healthy lifestyle management for the community.   A juvenile eagle leaves the nest to seek a path of success while grounded in healthy choices in life that is dedicated to preserving and strengthening our rich Dakota culture among all youth that transforms a holistic worldview.

We offer educational distant learning tutorials and curriculum for K-12 such as Science, Math, and Humanities Projects. These programs and curriculum focuses on the importance of understanding and appreciating the Native American culture through a Dakota lens. The teaching models of today’s classrooms are researched-based learning.

Curriculum

Lakota and Dakota dialects and Ojibwe language

We provide in-depth teaching of language to give you access to a bilingual education. Children are taught the Lakota and Dakota dialects and Ojibwe language and are encouraged to communicate in the language.  Call Zintkala Luta to provide any activity of your choice in your school or organization

Indigenous Garden Teachings
Organic Health

Our community garden service provides access to bi-cultural healthy produce where families are taught to plant, cultivate, and harvest natural and indigenous foods. Children, families and the community benefit from chemical-free fruits and vegetables. Native Americans in gardening are best practices that bring forth healthy and organic gardening in a traditional manner.

Regalia

Making/ Dancing

Zintkalaluta Regalia Workshop will work with families centered on youth to ACCESS traditional arts and dance through song, regalia-making techniques, to articulate historical and cultural stories through a Community Engagement process. Wacipi means ‘they dance’ in the Dakota language.

Entry Level Classes

Tutorial Programs:  Teaching mentors, Covid-19 safety protocols, and  for Virtual class planning with teaching team in tutoring.  Youth Scholars center in pod learning with subject areas Math, Science, and humanities to Provide homework and project based learning to enhance grades for Scholars in need of wellness and school success.  Dakota and Ojibwe language scholars in an intro- language/knowledge project learning is offered.
